Hi, folks. A smaller update for you today with some drink reveals. But first, Achievement Hunter has released the conclusion of their epic RDI 8 battle that started last week. Who will reign supreme? Tune in to find out!
Here are the first reveals from Samantha's tavern, the Scurvy Dog. Art is still in progress here - the card back and frame will get their own special treatment like the other drinks we've revealed so far.

Lucky the Scofflaw

Hi again, folks. Today's update is all about Lucky!
First of all, some lore! You may have seen this already, but yesterday we posted a story about Lucky by Geoff Bottone! This one's really funny, so check it out!
We also wanted to give a brief overview of Lucky's mechanics. She's one of the simpler decks in this set, but she does have a side mechanic: Heat. Lucky's Heat represents the extent to which the Greyport City Guard are pursuing her for her legally-borderline activities.
Lucky has a tracker card and 3 Heat Tokens (art subject to change!)
Many of Lucky's cards cause her to gain Heat. In some cases, it is mandatory. In other cases, she can choose to gain Heat for a better effect.
When Lucky gains a Heat, she simply moves a Heat Token onto the tracker card. When the tracker card has all three tokens on it, she removes the tokens and chooses one:
She loses 2 Fortitude (getting roughed up a bit as she escapes), OR
She gains 2 Alcohol Content (sharing some booze with the guards), OR
She pays 2 Gold to the Inn (bribing the guards the old fashioned way).
These Heat penalties may not be reduced, Negated, Ignored, paid with Gold from the Inn or mitigated in any other way. Lucky could get hit with several Heat penalties over the course of the game, so managing Heat is an important part of playing her correctly!
One more important point about Lucky: she's a pretty strong gambler, so one possible strategy is to try to win a decent-sized gambling pot and then just pay Heat bribes with impunity for the rest of the game!
Lucky is a fun and straightforward character to play, and we think she'll be a great addition to The Red Dragon Inn. But remember, you don't have to take our word for it! The Red Dragon Inn 8 is available to play right now on Tabletop Simulator!
